Lent begins

Today we begin the great season of Lent. Ash Wednesday is a day of solemn prayer and fasting. I hope that you are beginning your Lenten observances with a community of faith. For those of you who would like to please click HERE for my offering on this day. Your feedback is valuable to me, please offer it.

Transfiguration Sunday

The Season of Epiphany is all too quickly coming to an end. The Sunday before Lent begins is often called "Transfiguration Sunday" as we hear the Gospel account of that event in Jesus' life. Thus, and so, HERE is the link to the offering I made on that day in both text and audio format. I would love to hear what you think.

... on your 40th birthday! Thanks George!

.... the number between 39 and 41

Today is my 4oth birthday. I will be celebrating it by sharing breakfast with St. George's Men's Group, building puzzles with my daughter, and enjoying the company of family of friends. I love birthdays, even my own! Say a prayer for me today that I will enjoy the next 40 years of life as much as I have enjoyed that first 40 years - even if life is filled with hardship, sorrow and pain it is also filled with joy, faith and hope so rejoice.

Oh, dddddear...

Alas technology has failed me! Or perhaps I have failed technology. My sermon for today was another of my "off script" moments so I do not have a full text to share with you. Also my digital audio recorder did not do a very good job following me around the church so the quality of the recording is really quite poor. If you are willing to wade through the garbled mess that it did pick up then you can click HERE and find what you are looking for. I am experimenting with trying to record more of what we offer in worship and sadly this one did not turn out well. The link above will take you to the Gradual Hymn, Gospel Reading and my sermon. If you can make it out please let me know and offer your valuable feedback.

This week's offering
